I resolve

I wrote this a year ago. It still inspires me.

RESOLUTION PRAYER

A healthy body supports a healthy mind and soul.

Each day, may I sincerely refresh my resolution to nurture a healthy body.

May I fill the void – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual – with nurturing, by making healthy choices about food and exercise.

May I release those habits of mind and body that block a healthy life.

May I be patient and loving with myself and remember to draw strength from my own divinity.

I can see and feel the results of fostering a healthy body – self-love, self-confidence, self-respect, lightness, and joy.

Enhancing my well-being is a gift to myself, which benefits others, too.

My increased self-esteem cannot help but shine forth, lighting the lives of others.

Wellness in myself will be attractive and joyful to others and I will have more to give in all areas of my life.

I resolve to nurture a healthy body.

This year, mine is quite simple:
"God, show me what to eat for this meal right now."
For a detail oriented list lover that is just crazy short. If it (Steps 1-3 in eating disorder recovery) weren't so challenging to receive & maintain, it'd be mind numbingly boring. But, as it is, it's like everything in a few short words.

*pouty lip*

Perhaps next year I'll get more details.
