bon voyage!

We really, really love our friends, Max and Simone, and we were super sad to wish them farewell Friday night, on the eve of their departure for Michigan. Simone, having just earned her doctorate degree (Yay Simone!), landed a professorship at Wayne State University in Detroit so she's off to start her undoubtedly brilliant career. We are so proud of her! Max is helping her set up house but he won't move there officially until early next year. At least we'll get a bit more time with him before he/we move out of S.B. We wish Max and Simone the absolutely most charmed and fruitful time in Detroit.
