art card of the day

These are, technically, collaborative pieces. Or perhaps more accurately, altered art. I basically modified a collage made by someone else (unknown to me) in an art class I took last summer. These two art cards were originally part of a larger single collage, about 5" x 5". I contributed the orange and yellow areas, as well as the bits of text and the Japanese character that looks like a giant "T." I really don't think I can take much credit, though, because the original art was already successful, without my additions. Nevertheless, I found this to be a useful -- and challenging -- exercise. It's not terribly easy to "improve" on someone else's creation, particularly when that creation is already quite good.
