It reminds me of the colors from my Dad's double wide trailer in the 1970s. The kitchen counters were avacado green and the curio cabinet, coffee table and goddess statue were all mustard-gold.
I still have the goddess statue, and Dave still has the coffee table.
Apparently you do have (more than just one) work in bright colors: you've just been saving them to post until later.
Oh, and a painting of flowers featuring those green & gold colors, too. I have it in a glass-doored cabinet next to the fireplace.
Oh, and they had a gold lamp with a woman in it with plastic thread on the outside on which beads of oil would drip. I would've taken it, too, but it was gone by then.
Given that he didn't die until 1994, you could say he got a lot of use out of his 1970s decorations.
