I like the relationship between the black and white of the background and the cheerful colors overlaying it. Those colors create a lively and positive mood, which is not always the case for my collages.

I realize that I tend toward designs that are either 1) neutral toned (browns, blacks, dark colors) or 2) brightly colored, like the one above. I really enjoy creating both types, as evidenced by the fact that I make a roughly equivalent amount of each, completely unintentionally.
