art card of the day

Some pieces come together quite quickly. This one did not.
The background was fairly easy -- blue security envelope covered with a layer of translucent white tissue paper.
The angles of the security envelope eventually led me to add the thin strips of black, orange and yellow paper.
The two half-circle-ish shapes on the left came together with the most difficulty, although I now consider them very crucial elements to the design.
The oblong bead on the lower half-circle shape was the final touch.
This may not be my all-time favorite art card, but it does feel finished and that feels quite good.
