This art card is one in a series of cards in which I experimented with a particular herbal tea called Passion. The tea leaves and herbs create a rich magenta fluid. In the case of the art card above, I actually soaked the card in the tea itself. The result is a lovely pinkish-purplish stain. I was able to get a deeper hue on one half of the card by soaking it for an extended period of time. I added a simple accent to the soft mood with a touch of yellow paper and a small abalone shell.

Passion I

I especially like the background: the dark bottom, the lighter top, the white stripe between.
