For some reason, when I see these new pieces in which you've incorporated paint, they, as a group, feel more complete, as if paint were a missing element from the previous ones.
Not because I think "Dude! Where's the paint?," but because in looking at the others, then seeing these... it feels more complete.
I appreciate the comment very much. I've been attempting to bring paint into my collages much more recently and I, too, like the results. It's been challenging for me because paint kinda scares me. It seems so darned permanent. The paint you see in these collages was applied with a sponge rather than a brush. Sponges scare me less, and I like the effects.
