educating Mom

In my spare time this past week, I've been teaching myself how to use my mother's new MacBook and its various accessories, so that I can train on it. She's decided -- at the age of 75 -- to give computing another go. Yay Mom! Previously, she has purchased computers and attempted to learn how to use email, surf the net, etc., but each time she finds herself overwhelmed and gives up. But she swears that this time -- the third time -- will be the charm. So, I've volunteered to set her up and walk her through the basic steps necessary for launching her into the computing world. I will be spending the better part of this coming week at her house doing just that. Wish us luck!

I am a die hard Apple computer fan, and I have used PCs and even owned one (which I hated), but Apple computers are so much easier to use and it's so much more logical the way things work as far as I'm concerned. I love my iMac G5 flat screen with wireless mouse and wireless keyboard.

Have fun, and good luck!
