back bathroom complete!

Honest-to-god, it's been about two years that the master bath has been out of commission. I am thrilled to announce that its remodeling is complete! And it looks fantastic. Very simple, clean, and bright. Just what it needed.

Here's a poor picture of what it looked like before the remodel:

Here it is with entirely new paint, plumbing, flooring, and fixtures:

It may be a bit difficult to tell, but the walls are a soft yellow. We've complemented them with blue and white towels and other decorative items. It's a nice improvement over the horrid 1970s brown flowered wallpaper.

This is the sink area before:

And after:

Even Kitter approves of the update!

(1) See, now, if I was a cat I wouldn't waste my time thinking, "Maybe if I don't take my shirt off at the BDSM party, no one will notice the "wings" under my arms and realize I'm not slim (as if they couldn't tell that even when I have my clothes on)." Kitter just enjoys life. I need to be more like Kitter.

(2) Holy cow, I can't believe he actually FINISHED it! Wow! I wonder how that is for him. Is there now ANOTHER project to worry over, or is home improvement time actually over?

Re #1: We could all learn something from "The Tao of Kitter," couldn't we?

Re #2:
First, I assert that I contributed (albeit to a much lesser extent) to the completion of the bathroom, so, technically WE finished it.

Second, home improvement is most definitely NOT over, I'm sorry to say. Among the projects yet to be done are: transforming the back room into a combination home office/guest room (an unimaginably huge job); replacing the front and back steps; painting the laundry room; and an assortment of other odd jobs. You'll read all about it here, as it transpires, so stay posted...
