Mediterranean Mosaic: Monte Carlo & Eze

On the morning of May 31, 2008, we were greeted by a spectacular view of the harbor at Monte Carlo, Monaco, the luxurious seaside city of high-rolling fame.

Our bus excursion brought us first to this view of Monte Carlo and the Cote D'Azur. Our ship, the m/s Noordam is visible just left of center.

The highlight of the excursion was most certainly the French medieval town of Eze, nestled on a steep hill overlooking the French Riviera, characterized by its steeped winding streets and quaint shops, and crowned by a lovely garden with amazing views.

I love this photo of Chris and me window shopping:

The traveler is greatly rewarded for the strenuous climb to the summit of Eze with an impressive garden with 360 degree views of the sea and mountains.
