The rounded corners on this art card distinguish it from any others I have made. While most of my art card collages start with a rectangular piece of card stock or watercolor paper or illustration board, I used a paint sample from Home Depot as the substrate for the collage above. It has largely been covered by coffee filters, but the paint color (African Sunset) is still visible in the upper right corner. I found the central element of the design, the split leaf(?) of a pine cone, in our carport. The text, "frolic with the Gods," was lifted from a flier advertising the Greek Festival in Monterey last summer. I haven't the slightest idea what the connection is between pine cones and frolicking with gods. Perhaps my beloved readers will tell me?
