art card of the day

The background in this piece is made entirely from handmade paper I produced in a workshop here in Durango. The wooden Om symbol was acquired in Albuquerque.

Hmmm. If someone else were to use the word "acquired" in this context, I might think they meant "stolen." Can you imagine?

I'm sure someone, somewhere, in the history of the world, has certainly made & sold art from stolen materials before. But it's discordant to think of.

Your homemade paper came out with a great effect: one from paintings that I often admire. Except they can only drool over your texture.
