June 10, 2007 was a joyous, chaotic, beautiful, exhausting day for Alex and me. It was the culmination of four months of hectic and intense planning following his Valentine's Day proposal (on a Scrabble board!). The love of friends and family surrounding us on our wedding day still warms my heart. This may be my favorite photograph of the two of us, leaning against a fence at the sweet little park where we were married in Goleta, CA.

I really enjoyed your wedding! I've never been a bridesmaid before. Having a job to do was fun, I liked the black suit/white shirt/matching ties costuming, and it was great to be a part of such an important event of 2 people I like very much. I know it was about wife/husband, but it felt like a bonding experience for me, too... I feel closer and even more committed to you both as a result of it.
