affordable art

Art collectors, check this out! Original photographs and works on paper can be purchased for only $20 (!!!!) on the website 20x200. As explained by VSL:

Till now, the options for purchasing art on the Internet have been limited, essentially, to the websites of the high-end auction houses (e.g., Sotheby’s, Christie’s) or the untrustworthy Ebay, where fakes have hoodwinked numerous unsuspecting buyers.

Jen Bekman, a New York City gallery owner, is hoping to change how people buy art with her cool website 20x200, where the process isn’t just simplified — clutter-free pages and easy navigation — but also made fun. Twice a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. EST) a new photo and a work on paper are put up for sale. Each is numbered and signed by the artist and is available in three sizes for three prices: $20, $200, and $2,000. Among the current crop of talented artists are Andrew MacRae, Aili Schmeltz, Eric Graham, and Laura Levine.

Forgo a few dozen lattes and turn your living space into a gallery space.

They even have gift certificates!

Here are some examples of artwork available at 20x200:
