Mediterranean Mosaic: Palma de Mallorca

Our visit to Palma de Mallorca -- on June 3, 2008 -- was a favorite, by far. This capital city is remarkably clean, groomed, and full of charm. We were certainly impressed and only wished we'd had time for more (a recurrent theme throughout our journey).

Our first destination was the impressive and picturesque Bellver Castle, built in the 14th century:







From the castle we had a spectacular view of the city, including the palace and cathedral, visible in the center of the panorama below:
