Art Walk

My first year participating in the Monte Arts Council's Art Walk on December 1st was a moderate success. I sold two of my larger collages and a handful of my new notecards. Each time I show my work in public, I am reminded that my art is not for everyone. I don't do pretty landscapes or cute animals or any other "easy-on-the-eye" artwork. My work is abstract and maybe a bit complex, yet, in my opinion, it's beautiful and intimate. I really appreciated those who stopped at my table for more than a cursory glance and actually looked at my art and asked questions about my process. That made the whole day worthwhile.
